How do we treat?

Acupuncture

A technique, using fine, hair-thin, steel needles to stimulate the body Qi, to promote natural healing by restoring body’s natural ability to regenerate and build defense. It’s entirely unlike a needle injection as used in Western Medicine

Cupping

Small glass cups with vacuum suction is applied over specific areas on the body in place or moved around to stimulate the flow of blood and Qi within the superficial muscle layers. Highly effective in relieving sore muscles, tension, neck pain and the common cold. Bruising afterwards is quite common and will dissipate over time – Patients need to bring their own glass cups and clean the cups themselves at home in order to make this feasible

Gua Sha

Using dermal friction technique to release muscle tension, tightness and constriction. A smoothly polished tool is used to gently scrape or rub on the skin over a problem area. It’s effective in relieving the common cold and nasal congestion. Bruising afterwards is quite common and will dissipate over time

Tui Na Massage

Using a push and grasp massage technique to move qi and blood in painful areas of the body to relieve muscle pain, tension and inflammation and to heal injuries

Moxibustion

A technique of using an herb called moxa (mugwart) that is burned to rush the heat and chemical effects of this herb into the acupuncture meridians

Chinese Herbs

Using numerous herbs that have been used together for thousands of years for their synergistic effects to treat a variety of acute and chronic disorders

Dietary Therapy

Eating regularly, eating balanced foods in the right amounts, eating the correct combination of foods, foods to avoid, foods and temperatures, and eating correctly to maintain regularity
