Your Responsibilities:
Please allow 90 minutes for your first visit and 60 minutes for subsequent visits. Always come with some food in your stomach so you get the proper qi balance from a good energy reservoir. Come with comfortable and loose clothing so we can reach your knee, thigh, leg, and arm areas for "point locations".
We ask you to download the forms on the “Schedule and Fees” Page and fill them out to bring with you for your first appointment. If you don't have Internet capability or a computer, we ask you to arrive at least 20 minutes earlier to fill out the necessary forms before treatment.
Medical Responsibility:
Our clinic does not provide primary care. Therefore if you have a potentially serious condition such as an infection of any sort, sudden weight loss or gain, severe hypertension of greater than 160/100, heart conditions, severe diabetic conditions, suspected fracture or dislocation, serious bleeding, severe abdominal pain, respiratory distress, severe vomiting and diarrhea, brain disorders, severe headache and numbness, etc., you need to be under the care of a primary physician such as an MD, ND, or DO first before seeking help from us. This is per Washington State law.
Please call 911 if you have a medical emergency, or any unstable medical state that is beyond the scope of my practice (see “Services” Page). Some patients had tried to come in regardless and I had to turn them away.
Please stay home if you have a viral or bacterial infection, or a temperature, as I need to keep the Clinic safe for the other patients and follow “H1N1” Protocol guidelines. Some patients had tried to come in when they had one of these conditions and I had to turn them away.
Please follow prescribed frequency of visits to get the desired therapeutic effects.
For those who are on herbal formulas, please follow prescribed instructions on dosage and frequency of intake and report back any adverse reactions or progress. Please do not give your herbals to anyone else to take, as they are specifically for you. Should you decide not to take your herbals after I’ve prescribed, I’ll need to know that too.
Any prescribed formula is proprietary to this Clinic only, and you cannot fill a formula yourself, neither can you ask me to transfer the formula to another Clinician to fill or re-fill (one patient asked me to do so, and he is no longer my patient). This avoids the potential of overdosing and un-authorized prescription practice. No formula is meant to be taken for the long term without a clinician’s supervision.
Community Mindedness:
We try to maintain a relaxed and quiet atmosphere, and therefore ask you to bring in the same spirit with cell phone or pager turned off in the clinic. We ask you to be on time for your appointment so that you don’t throw off everybody else’s schedule. We ask you NOT to drop in on us, and always make an appointment by calling or emailing us.
Please take all of your belongings with you as you proceed through our space – we cannot be responsible for items left in the office.
If you’re a smoker, we ask you to have stopped smoking for at least 24 hours before coming in for treatment, as our patients and clinicians would object the smoke toxicity in our space.
Commitment to your health:
We are totally results oriented. Our patients return only because they’re getting better. However, it is unrealistic to expect your condition to resolve after one treatment, especially if you are not compliant with things you’d also need to do at home such as diet, exercise, taking herbals, etc. Typically we ask you to come back once a week for 5-10 times. For a chronic condition, you may need to come twice a week for 2-3 months.
You’re expected to care about your health enough for us to treat you with the best care that we can possibly provide you each time you are here. This is truly a partnership. Committed patients who came here consistently receive great results.
Thank you for the opportunity to be part of your healing process.
